Kala is a half-devil who escaped from Hell after a violent past as a mercenary. For the past twelve years, she has served as a cleric of Quanam, the merciful god, but a series of mysterious attacks on nearby villages will force her to confront what she left behind. Along her journey, she will meet several companions, each haunted by shadows of their own and searching for someone who can heal the wounds they carry within.
